Dr. John Wilbanks is a Board-certified Urologist.
Dr. Wilbanks earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama before attending the University Alabama School of Medicine. After graduation from medical school in 1994, he served as a resident in general surgery for two years at the UAB Hospital. He then completed four years of urological training there.
In addition to being a partner of Birmingham-Shelby Urology, Dr. Wilbanks is a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeast Section of the American Urological Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Shelby County Medical Society, and the Birmingham Urology Club. Currently, Dr. Wilbanks is a member of the medical staff at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, St. Vincent's East, and St Vincent's Birmingham. He is a native of Tallassee, AL.
